Our website design has come from many years of experience.

Our website designer, Joe Dugdale, has been creating websites since 1997, and using them since 1992. This means that he has seen how times have changed, and knows what does and does not work for different types of website.

There are rules which we stick by when creating websites, which are what makes all our websites easy to use for both the owner and the user.  Among these are:

  • The website MUST be responsive
  • It MUST be easy to navigate
  • It MUST be secure
  • It MUST be simple to keep up to date

We do not provide you with a website and leave you to work out how to use it. All our websites include video training built into the admin, so you can always find out how to make things work. We are also available for support, via our support packages.

We also provide a full security system, which will help to ensure that you are not affected by nasties.

If you also select the e-commerce option, it allows you to sell your book(s) or your services/products directly on your page, whether they are physical books or e-books. Being a full e-commerce system, you can add any items to your store.

If you prefer to have a simple website, you can select one of the templates that we have created and change the colours, images and text.

This is the option for those who do not want to spend too much on their website, but want it to look good.

We will always be adding new templates.

The basic website is made up of five pages, which you can select from below, which has been designed with businesses and organisations in mind.

Home Page
Every small business website needs a Home page. This is the first page most users see first, so it is important that this represents your business, either by showing your blog posts or information about your you, as a business or organisation. A great home page accomplishes a lot of things quickly. It tells visitors who you are and what you do, communicates your unique selling proposition and brand promise, establishes trust, and engages your target market.

About Page
The About page is where visitors go to learn more about who you are as a business or organisation, giving information about your brand. It should offer insight into your personality, policies, philosophies, and practices. Some talk about their company history or personal background; this can build rapport and trust – if it’s interesting and brief.

Contact Page
If we were singling out the three most important pages for a business website, this one would round out the list with the above two. You need a way to be contacted, whether this is through a contact form, telephone number or email, though having all three will enable more trust. If you have a physical location, give the address (which helps with Google business listings). This is also where you can list your business hours.

Blog
If you are able to provide regular, relevant information, then this is always a good idea, as it will show that you have an interest in keeping people up to date, but it also means that Google/Bing will have more information to list, meaning that you will do much better in the listings.

Products or Services Page
If it can’t be covered in a simple and straightforward way on your About page, your products or services should be outlined on a dedicated page. While users often want to know about features, remember that it’s a focus on benefits that really sells. Sometimes, this page serves as a directory leading to landing pages for individual products or services.

Portfolio, Testimonials or Clients Page (up to 5 included)
Including one or more of these elements builds brand credibility. If you’re in a creative field, people definitely appreciate seeing samples of your work, so take the opportunity to show off what you can do. Adding real, attributed testimonials from happy customers or clients is also helpful. Or, if your clients list is impressive, flaunt it.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Page (up to 10 included)
If you or your staff spend time repeatedly answering the same questions from existing or potential customers, a FAQ page helps. List these questions and give short, easy-to-understand answers, ordering them with the most common and most significant questions first.

Resources Page (up to 5 included)
If you want to give your users links to additional information, this is an option for where it can be done.

If you are looking for more than this, please click on the custom websites tab above, and let us know what it is that you are looking for.

Home Page
This will be where your blog will be listed, giving those visiting your site an easy way to read your latest news and get an idea on who you are and even your writing style.

About Page
The About page is where visitors go to learn more about who you are as an author and, if you want to, as a person. Knowing you, a visitor is often more likely to purchase your book.

Contact Page
This is where you can have a contact form so that you can be contacted. You can also include email information if you want to do so.

Blog
If you are able to provide regular, relevant information, then this is always a good idea, as it will show that you have an interest in keeping people up to date, but it also means that Google/Bing will have more information to list, meaning that you will do much better in the listings.

My Books
This is where you can list all your books, whether a single book or 50 books. You can include links to all the websites that your book can be purchased, as well as offline details. We will add up to 10 books for you at this price, if you would like more added, please contact us via the custom website tab.

E-Commerce

If you wish to sell your book(s) yourself on your website, whether as e-books or physical books, this can be done with our e-commerce option.

This is a full e-commerce system, so you can add additional products and services at any time.

Please let us know what it is that you are looking for, and we will get back to you, usually within 24 hours, with a quote.

Please include as much information as you can, saying which you definitely want and which you would like to have.

  1. 5 out of 5

I’m absolutely delighted with my new website. Joe has been a pleasure to work with from beginning to end, his work always being first-rate and exactly what I wanted. Any query I had was answered straight away and level of communication has been brilliant.
